A correct diagnosis, realized by an X-ray examination, enables the dentist to identify in advance and to cure quickly potential diseases in your mouth.

This is possible only if the X-ray image is of higher quality.

Dental radiology is not common. Until now, we used a celluloid and to analyse the result of the examination we had to wait for the development by chemical substances. Furthermore, in case of unsatisfying result, it was necessary to repeat the examination, with an additional X-ray exposure for the patient.

Modern digital radiology finally changed these processes: image is acquired, sent to computer, and showed on the screen in real time, with clear and precise details. Several instruments available for the operator for the next image optimisation avoid repeating the examination. No more waiting then.

The acquired image is immediately available. The original one is saved into the patient’s personal folder, into the computer file, and it can easily be analysed again for more examinations or copies.

Cone Beam Computed Tomography (TAC)

It is possible to do low-exposure 3D X-ray examinations (CBCT) in our clinic. It is possible to display a 3D image of the “shape of the bone” by this examination. This standard method inspects the bone volume before the safe implant placement of our clinic.

3D radiology is also used to examine the extraction of wisdom teeth, root canal retreatments…

Double contrast dental orthopantomography

This is the standard technique of our clinic.

With the “Double Contrast” technique the first image does not undergo graphic elaboration processes and it appears faithful to the anatomy of the patient in radiographical terms, so it has no possible alterations. On the second image are applied special filters that improve the diagnostical evaluation at apical level and of the bone trabecular.

Orthogonal Dental Orthopantomography

Orthogonal orthopantomography excludes the branches by projecting the single elements from eight to eight in an orthogonal way, improving the apical and periodontal view. It is especially useful in presence of dome-shaped palate where the elements have crowded apices or as complementary examination for the 12-16 projections “status”, limiting those intraoral projections where more examinations are needed.

Maxillary Sinuses Dental Orthopantomography

It is an examination for those who need an extensive analysis of the maxillary sinuses or to verify their augmentation. It differs from traditional orthopantomography for the projection, done with a reduced time of exposure and focused on the maxillary area.

ATM Rx Open and Closed Bite

ATM open and closed bite X-ray is done in oblique projection and it follows the Frankfurt Horizontal Plan, in mid-sagittal plane in position of closing and maximum opening of the mouth.
